Modern Theatre dance is a rhythmic dance style known for its theatrical qualities. The style uses travelling steps, high kicks, leaps, and turns which all need strength and flexibility. Modern evolved into a popular free dance style that includes elements of performance art, release technique, improvisation, hip hop and musicals.
Jazz dance is the ideal way to develop well-rounded dance skills. It’s lively, energetic, and creatively diverse. Musical Theatre Jazz, Funky Jazz, Street Jazz... name it! And try it! Led by a dedicated team of instructors, this class will have you on your feet in no time.
Break dancing is largely improvisational, made up of variations of “standard” moves or steps, including freezes, powermoves, downrock, and toprock. The emphasis is on energy, movement, creativity, humour
Contemporary focuses on floorwork and the use of gravity throughout the movement, while applying versatility and improvisation. It includes free leg movements, strong stress on the torso, disordered choreography, unpredictability, multiple and simultaneous actions, improvisation, and non-standardized costumes and lighting.
